  2. First of all, what is Acid Rain? Acid rain: Rain containing acids that form in the atmosphere when industrial gas emissions (especially sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides)combine with purified rain.

  3. What are the effects of Acid Rain? • Due to Acid Rain, entire fish stocks of lakes have been wiped out. • Entire lakes have been poisoned • Buildings have been damaged severely

  4. Where in the world can Acid Rain happen? Acid rain can appear anywhere when industrial gas emissions are let off into the atmosphere.

  5. What effect does Acid rain have on our health? • It can create breathing problems • It causes Lung problems • It can make asthma much worse

  6. What are the substances that are released into the air that mainly cause Acid Rain? • Carbon Dioxide • Carbon Monoxide • Lead • Nitrogen Oxides • Sulfur Dioxides

  7. What can you do to prevent acid rain? • Save power by using less electricity • Reduce, Reuse, Recycle • Don’t use the Air conditioner as much • Take bus or train, walk or ride your bike when travelling
