  2. Farm to Preschool Gardens • PACE Head Start in Los Angeles (Magnolia Place) • Received garden grant from Western Growers Foundation • Garden Activities linked to in-class Farm to Preschool award-winning curriculum • Extra garden produce given to parents for home consumption

Access Duarte • Access Duarte garden received a • grant from the city of Bradbury • The garden is watered and • maintained by City of Duarte Parks & • Rec Dept., Field Service Dept., the • Teen Nutrition Council, & Duarte • Teen Center staff • Cooking class student is holding • ceviche made by using • ingredients from the garden

  5. Community Resource Center’s (CRC) • Children’s Garden in Unincorporated • South Whittier • Soil, plant food, seeds, starter • fruit and vegetable plants were • donated • Students are excited to plant, watch • for signs of growth, and learn • horticulture through the entire • process
