Visit your new school • Get involved • Clubs, athletics, activities • Parent involvement is still important: PTSA, Booster Clubs New classmates, new courses, new teachers and new expectations can all be points of anxiety for students moving from middle to high school. Even if the change doesn't seem drastic, parents should anticipate an adjustment period for their student, says Patrick Akos, a professor in the School of Education at the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill. WSFCS charges $55 for Driver’s Education • Minimum age is 14 years and 6 month old (by the first day of the class • Sign up online at http://ncdrivingschool.com/county/winstonforsyth/ • Students will attend 30 hours of class instruction • Students will attend 6 hours “In Car” or behind the wheel instruction Driver’s Education

  8. A/B Schedule, (days alternate) • 4 classes a day • 90 minutes for each class • AP, IB, Arts, Foreign Language, Newspaper and Yearbook classes will be taught in an A Day/B Day yearlong block Block Schedule
