The word good is an adjective and it answers the question “What kind of?” (Какой, Какая, Какое, Какие? in Russian). *Adjectives ALWAYS agree in gender, number, and case with the noun they describe

  13. Grammar Comment 14-1 Adverbs are used to describe verbs. Я хорошо говорю по-русски. I speak Russian well The word well is an adverb and it answers the question How? (Как? in Russian)

  15. Grammar comment 14-1 You can form adverbs from many adjectives by dropping the adjectival ending (-ый, -ое, -ая, -ые) and replacing it with -o. xорош|ий------хорош------хорошо плох|ой--------плох---------плохо

  16. Grammar comment 14-1 . When the subject of the sentence is это, always use the adverb in -o as a predicate. Это трудно. That’s hard./That’s difficult. Всё было легко. Everything was easy.

  17. Наречия. Adverbs. Exercise 14-6. Form adverbs form the adjectives. Then say them aloud and give English equivalents. Exercise 14-7. Read the sentences and circle the correct word. Explain whether the question is Как? or Какой? (Какая, Какое, Какие?).
