  4. CREW MEMBERS ON APOLLO 11 • NEIL ARMSTRONG, MICHEAL COLLINS, AND EDWIN E. JR.

  5. PURPOSE OF MISSION • THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF APOLLO 11 WAS TO COMPLETE A NATIONAL GOAL SET BY PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY ON MAY 25, 1961 TO PERFORM A CREW LUNAR LANDING AND TO RETURN TO EARTH.

  6. Problems • There were technical problems, and the landing was not on spot. Technical problem with module gas.

  7. Outcome of the mission • Successful, but landing point changed.

  8. Interesting facts on Apollo 11 • Landed on moon July 20, 1969. • Armstrong first man to step on the moon. • Launched July 16,1969 at 9:32am. • Retrieval ship U.S.S Hornet.
