  4. What is the problem? Reflecting on leadership in organizations today, we find ourselves in a bit of a mess. We see reliance on linear, mechanistic thinking, companies focusing more on stock price than delighting customers, and knowledge workers whose voices are ignored by the bosses who direct them. The workplace has become a battlefield of defending personal interests rather than a place of fulfillment, inspiration, meaning and sustainability. All these factors are reflected by the current economic crisis, increased inequity, and have a negative impact on the well being of the people involved.

There has to be a better way Organizations need to become learning networks of individuals creating value and the role of leaders should include the stewardship of the living rather than the management of the machine. It is time to wake up from our self-deception - It is time to transform the way we do business - It is time to find a new path to success. There has to be a better way!

The Local Zurich Stoos Network Satellite The Stoos-Network and its satellites are self-regulatin The local Zurich Stoos Network Satellite is divided up in two circles: A) The Facilitators B) The Participants, who are either o Seekers o Providers o Curious The Facilitators are people who facilitate the local Stoos-Satellites. Seekers are looking for new and better ways to do business. Providers are already doing it a better way and are willing to share their knowledge and experience. The Curious are simply that, curious.

The Global Stoos Network The Stoos-Network and its Satellites are a community of change agents who are committed to play an active role towards this change by bringing together senior executives, business strategists, managers, workers and customers who either seek or wish to share better ways of doing business. We aim to bring together the knowledge, resources and capabilities to make the necessary changes - all we have to do is get together, open-up and share. Bridge-building and transformation trough co-creation are the key.

Each of the local Stoos-Network-Satellites provide platforms for "seekers", "providers" and „curious“ to connect, share, learn, reflect, inspire and co-create in order to spread the „virus“ of transforming the business world towards „a better way“. Possible platforms are (suggestions): • Weekly local meetings where committed Stoosians show up whenever they can to create new ideas, plan events, and present themselves to potential new members • Events, where Stoosians bring together „Seekers“, „Providers“ and „Curious“ on various platforms eg: • Roundtables • Podium-Talks • Conferences • Stoos Stampeed, where Stoosians meet, share, discuss, coordinate and create their future….

  12. Why would you like to get involved? Because you... o ... share the hunger for doing business in a better way. o ... support the principles of the Stoos Vision for such a transformation o ... are either a PROVIDER who can bring in practical experience, case- studies, techniques of doing business the "better way" ... or you are a SEEKER for such solutions to implement in your business ... or you are just CURIOUS. o ... are motivated to bring in your ideas and inspirations and want to actively participate
