  3. Hairstyles 50’s Hairstyles were soft and curtly. Short hair was in and straight hair was out. -Women got perms -Slept in rollers and curlers. -Poodle Cut Example Lucille Ball From I Love Lucy. Natural Curls we know of today were wild and crazy back then.

  4. Hairstyles… -Men would sometimes put a sharp side part in their hair to and comb it back. -They would also use many types of styling gels or creams to hold it back in place and to keep it looking smooth and shiny. -They would cut their hair short on the sides and longer in the back. -Men with more time would try to add small waves to their hair.

  17. Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Step 6 Perfection and glamour are the trademarks in the 50’s Applying 50’S Make Up!

  18. STEP ONE! • Smooth on a foundation in your skin tone that gives your complexion a perfect finish • your goal is to turn your face into a clean blank canvas which you are to paint over.

  19. STEP TWO! • Groom eyebrows by brushing them back with a disposable mascara wand. • Thick, expertly shaped eyebrows were in vogue in the fifties so get rid of stray hairs but maintain a full shape with a sharp, noticeable arch. • Alter the shape slightly if your natural brows don't quite look like fifties eyebrows.

  20. STEP THREE! • Apply eye makeup primer to hold eye shadow in place. • Select a shadow color which has classic movie star glamour written all over it. • This would be a soft, shimmer shade which does not take away from the rest of the face. • Stroke shadow on from lash line to brow bones. • Curl eyelashes and stroke on some black or soft black mascara.

  21. STEP FOUR! • Hand trim a pair of false eyelashes to perfectly fit your top lash lines. • They should enhance your own lashes without looking obviously fake. • Line over the false eyelashes on the lash line area with the black liquid eyeliner. • (Create a cat's eye look by drawing a line that gradually thickens towards the outer corners, where they end in tiny extended wings )

  22. STEP FIVE! • Find a soft rosy blush and apply on the apples of your cheeks • Blend well and fade hard edges away with a makeup sponge so that you appear to be simply naturally flushed.

  23. STEP SIX! • Line lips with a waxy liner in a color with red tones. • Red-infused pink and coral are very popular for a fifties makeup look. • Line your top lip with the Cupid's bow exaggerated, so that your top lip appears slightly larger than your bottom one. • DONE!!
