Contractual Information There are different types of contracts: • Employment Contract: This covers benefits, inventions, non-compete clause and confidentiality. • Development Agreement: This covers, terms, ownership, warranties, legal details, termination, appendices. • License Agreements: This covers, what’s being licensed, what it can be used for, territory, term, finances • Confidentiality Agreements: This covers, disclosure of ‘secrets’, so if you were to get a job developing games, then you would sign a Confidentiality agreement so that you were contracted not to pass on any information about the game. • Collaboration Agreements: This covers all of the above contracts in one, just making one contract rather than four.

Legal Obligations • Age Restrictions: All games are obligated to be judged by PEGI and given an acceptable minimum age for players. • PEGI (Pan European Game Information) This is the governing body • Advertising Laws (ASA) This is the UK’s independent regulator of all media types, including games. • Trademarks

  4. Ethical Obligations • Violence • Drugs • Racism • Discrimination • Addicts • Children
