  2. Christopher Torres Banker is a Housing Inspector at the Rochester Housing Authority. His areas of interest are children, youth, and health. Christopher’s expertise is healthcare, carpentry and landscaping. Christopher joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to become a leader/mentor in the Latino community. Her areas of interest are AIDS, children & youth, family abuse, women’s issues, and healthcare. She joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to help people.   3. Jorge Cintron is a housing support counselor at the Center for Youth. His areas of interest are community development & planning, crime & social behavior, homelessness/housing, children & youth, substance abuse, and family abuse. His expertise is in counseling. Jorge joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to be a leader in his community and help in any way that he can. Upon graduating from LLDP he will look into areas if his interest and find what works best for him and his community. Her areas of interest are the blind or visually impaired, children & youth, and developmental disabilities. Her expertise is education. Jasmine joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to become a better leader in her community and learn the skills necessary to do that. Upon graduating from LLDP she plans to become more involved in volunteer opportunities and serve a board or committee to help further her involvement within the community.   4. Samir Cortes is the Manager of IT at Harris Beach PLLC. His areas of interests are children & youth, education, and employment job training. His expertise is in computer systems and training. Samir joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to improve his leadership skills and provide an avenue to serve his community.   5. Aileen Gatti is a Quality Systems Specialist at Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics. Her area of interest is healthcare and her expertise is in fundraising and healthcare. Aileen joined the LLDP class of 2012 to enhance her leadership skills and connect with the Latino community. Upon graduation she plans to find a way to have more options available to the elderly Latino community in the suburbs to enhance their independent living as well as support the families who care for them. Migdaly joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to learn the skills needed to help and serve her community. Her expertise is in consulting, public relations, counseling, and training. Maria joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to get more involved in volunteering for services where she can make a difference.   7. Nathalia Martinez is an Upward Bound Program Academic Advisor at the University of Rochester. Her areas of interest are children & youth and education. Her expertise is in government and education. Nathalia joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to network with Latino Professionals, learn about leadership skills, and to learn about ways to get involved with the community. Her areas of interest are mental health & counseling, women’s issues, education, health, and national MS. Her expertise is in education and health. Sandra joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of serving on an executive board of an organization and network with other Latinos. Evony joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to learn about opportunities for engagement within her community, and to connect with other Latinos who want to be involved and make a difference. Upon graduation she plans on volunteering her time and talents with non-profits and grassroots organizations as well as become a mentor for Rochester area youth. Estella joined the LLDP Class of 2012 to improve my skills as a leader so I can better serve our Latino community with new programs and services.
