  2. Harmonising with existing national plans and link with MTEF Integrate with the ESTP, long-term Ministry plans, PBB Strategic Plans and the budget

The 10-year ESTP will: • Seek to achieve a balance between growth, sustainability and equity and will include strategies that will enhance national productivity, strengthen economic resilience and better prepare us to face external shocks • Provide national outcomes and sector objectives to which the PBB financial allocations and performance targets will be linked, thus strengthening the integration of strategic planning and budgeting functions • Bring coherence between strategies by addressing cross-cutting issues • 5 development axes identified: economic infrastructure, social infrastructure, human capital, enterprise, science and innovation and social inclusion ESTP objectives

  4. Will build on: • MID Vision and the Government Programme • Policy orientation announced in the Budget • International commitments with Development Partners • New Government Programme will feed into the ESTP • Will be developed through consultations with all stakeholders, including private sector, NGOs and civil society • Outcomes that are monitorable • Planning indicators and targets linked to key outcomes that can be monitored to track progress Key features of ESTP
