The University has drawn ambitious plan to make KIIT campus totally vehicle free. In the first phase, use of two-wheelers, both by students and staffs, has been prohibited, after putting in place an effective alternative transport arrangement. KIIT has also implemented paperless administration. Green Audit of the campus is done annually. KIIT Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha has been ranked first the private universities category. The ministry of education today released the ranking of universities based on initiatives taken to promote innovation and entrepreneurship on the campus. 674 institutions participated in this year’s ranking. The Vice-President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu released the second edition of ARIIA 2020 rankings. ARIIA is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development which is implemented by AICTE and Ministry’s Innovation Cell, Government of India. The objective is to rank higher education institutions and universities in India as per Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Startup and Development amongst faculty and students.
