Thomas’ Evidence John 20:27-29 [NASB]: “Then He said to Thomas, ‘Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.’ Thomas answered and said to Him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him, ‘Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.’”

  11. Questions of those seeking truth • Who is Jesus? • What did Jesus say and do? • What proves Jesus is the Son of God?

  12. Questions of those who believe • Everyone has questions! • There is value in the search for understanding!

  14. Are you honestly trying to understand God’s will and who Jesus is... or are you trying to justify your skepticism? The people in John 7 were not looking for reasons to believe. They were looking for reasons to not believe.

  15. Romans 6:23 [NASB]: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Believe Jesus was whom he said he was and that he accomplished what he said he would at the cross, and receive forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life.

  16. Romans 9:18-24 [ESV]: “So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. You will say to me then, Why does he still find fault? Forwho can resist his will? But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, Why have you made me like this? Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use?

  17. Romans 9:18-24 [ESV]: …“What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with muchpatience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory— even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?”

  18. Romans 9:18-24 • The question is not why some are not saved, but why God bothers to save any of us. • We have no right to judge God.

  19. Process Your Questions • Be honest about your questions. • Seek answers in faith. • Be patient and persistent. • Overcome your obstacles to faith.

  20. John 5:1-5 [NASB]: “Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves theFather loves the child born of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments…

  21. John 5:1-5 [NASB]: “…and His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of Godovercomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”

  22. Christ speaking in Revelation 2 & 3: “To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in theParadise of God… He who overcomes, and he who keeps my deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations… Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent…

  23. “… Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to himand will dine with him, and he with me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
