  2. Overview • EFT [Electronic Funds Transfer] has been completed / there may be one or two not signed up • “The parties will co-operate with the development, introduction and implementation of a new ICT Strategy 2010 – 2012” • We have done that

  3. Overview • Budget Constraints (the GRACE Programme is the new paymaster in town!) The Chairman of the Croke Pk Implementation Body has reaffirmed that lack of budgets will not be used against the Staff Associations for any failure to implement this strategy

  4. Overview • ICT Strategy 2010 – 2012 published on the Portal December 2010 • AGSI concerned from the outset with Budgets / Identification of Projects / Training / Personnel and Human Resources / Accommodation

  5. Overview • Thankfully the budget and project management of NDRS was ring fenced and proceeded independently of this strategy – we have asked for increased telephony on NDRS terminals and the lack of directory enquiries functionality on official mobile phones to be lifted (HQ 70/’10)

  6. Overview • We have also asked for PULSE terminals to be installed in patrol cars, even for vehicle and person checks • PULSE, e-mails and The Portal are invaluable information tools and should be utilised to the maximum / The Portal is not a substitute for training!

  7. Overview • “My Documents” now available on PULSE and should be used for files / templates and saving important information

  8. Overview • Computer Aided Dispatch (C.A.D.) being rolled out to Divisional Control Centres in Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway / paper RC1’s being eliminated – AGSI has previously asked for the rollout of C.A.D. to all Control Centres / This project should be credited under the Croke Pk. agreement

  9. Some new Projects being migrated • “Follow Me Printers” • Juvenile Liaison Officers access to NJO files from their laptops • Portal access from official laptops • I.T. system to support whatever new roster is agreed • I.T. system to support whatever new PALF is agreed
