SAFETY RULES. Students have to strictly follow protocols and instructions given by a teacher or a technician. Immediately contact your teacher in case of emergency (injury, accident, chemical spill, apparatus malfunction etc.).

  1. SAFETY RULES • Students have to strictly follow protocols and instructions given by a teacher or a technician. • Immediately contact your teacher in case of emergency (injury, accident, chemical spill, apparatus malfunction etc.). • Be extremely careful when in any contact with wires or electric apparatus. Always use standards of practice. • Eating, drinking and smoking is not allowed in the classroom .

  2. SUBJECT CONTENS AND STRUCTURE • Lectures, seminars and practical course (practicals) • Course (Practicals) is organized in a one week blocks with different teachers • Content of the blocks: • Cellular and molecular biology • Genetics • Developmental biology • Genomics • Newsletters

  3. GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS Electronic form of the course schedule is available in the Masaryk University information system (IS). Paper copy is available at the board outside of the classroom. Classes (practicals) take place at the Bohunice campus, Kamenice 5, Building A7. Students will be notified by their teacher in case of change. Students have to check their university e-mail boxes on regular basis or forwards their e-mails to another e-mail box, which they can easily check. Students have to read the protocols before the class begins.

Presentation given by teacher will also be available in the IS (usually one week after the exercise).

  5. GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS Attendance • Course is compulsory. • One absence from class per semester is allowed. In case of two or more absences per semester students WILL NOT be awarded the credit. • More excused absences is needed to be consulted with the teacher • Make up class must be scheduled with the teacher within the same week in the block.

  6. CRITERIA FOR AWARDING OF THE COURSE CREDITS • Completed written report (protocol) from each class (exercise) of the course (even if missed by a student) • ACTIVE course attendance according to the above given rules
