  1. Hair Care Is Just As Important As Skin Care To have a thick flowing mane of hair is everyone’sdream. And you’ll be surprised to know it’s actuallynot difficult to fulfil that dream. It’s just that the waywe follow a routine for skin care so it glows, we haveto follow a simple regime for hair care too. It is important to note that while hair care is a huge multi-million dollar industry, not all products availablein the market are recommended for everyday use. Here are few basic tips for daily hair care: Wash your hair regularly. A neutral pH shampoo used on alternate days is excellent forregular maintenance of hair. A strong shampoo if used regularly can cause dryness andsplit ends. Medicated shampoos containing ketoconazole or selenium sulphide used onceor twice a week can even take care of dandruff problem. Use a conditioner. On a routine basis, shampoo should be followed by conditioner. Usinga conditioner not only smoothens your hair but also takes care of any residual dryness thatmay be caused by application of shampoo. Apply hair oil. Hair oil has been part of hair care for centuries now. The oil we apply maybe extracted from fruits, plants, and herbs and has found to be more or less safe. Overnighthair oil application followed by shampooing in the morning is one of the tried and testedmethods of good hair care. Use hair colours / dyes diligently. Another huge industry with a wide range of productoptions available in the market. What’s important to note is that there has been a lot ofcases reported with proven allergies to hair colours, needing extensive medication causinga lot of distress to the patient. Hair colour with a chemical PPD is most commonly implicatedin most cases of hair dye allergies. Hence, it’s always advisable to identify any allergicreaction prior to hair colour application. Eat right. Ensure your diet comprises a lot of green leafy vegetables and anti-oxidants.Consumption of proteinous foods such as egg, meat, milk on a regular basis is highlyrecommended.

  2. Last but not the least, there are medications available. Certain medications containingbiotin, which is a hair growth vitamin, has been prescribed for growth and maintaining lustreof the hair.
