  1. Job Description: The candidate must have a PhD or MS in Materials Science or Metallurgy. Experience & knowledge in Structure - Property relationships of Materials / Metals; Mechanical Properties (Fracture & Adhesion) of Materials / Metals; Fundamentals of Metallurgy / Materials Science is required. Fundamental Material Development and research experience in metals & composites and hands on experience in the use of analytical tools for structure property relationship is preferred. Candidate should have a good understanding of Mechanical Modeling approaches / fundamentals and ability to relate this to materials behavior is essential. Technical skills must include problem solving, data analysis and statistical design. The candidate is required to have good communication skills (written and verbal) and must be a team player. The candidate will work in ATD's Materials group focusing on materials development and integration to electronic packages and processes. Specific responsibilities include planning, executing and certification of materials including development and certification of the supplier process. Travel is required The candidate must have a PhD in Materials Science or Polymer Science / Engineering experience & knowledge in Structure - Property relationships of Materials / Polymers; Mechanical Properties (Fracture & Adhesion) of Materials / Polymers; Fundamentals of Polymers/ Materials Science is required. Fundamental Material Development and research experience in polymers & composites and hands on experience in the use of analytical tools for structure property relationship is preferred. Candidate should have a good understanding of Mechanical Modeling approaches / fundamentals and ability to relate this to materials behavior is essential. The candidate will work in the Materials group focusing on materials development and integration to electronic packages and processes. Responsibilities will include supplier materials and process development. Extensive Travel may be required.
