  1. October 2011 Updates: School Holidays, Part 6: meeting with Caitlin and Elly at the Australian Museum

  2. Caitlin and Elly have returned from their stay in Canberra and are back living in Sydney. We met them at the Australian museum and were impressed how much they both grew! They are not just taller: Caitlin’s English has improved a lot and Elly is a curious walking toddler

  3. The girls enjoyed puppets and dress ups

  4. The big girls enjoyed playing with dinosaurs and dressing up, while the little girls explored various materials. Alma tried to listen to the big dried bean pods like you listen to a big sea shell...

  5. Nimo and friends in the dress up pod

  6. Alma had a fantastic time exploring with all the senses

  7. Alma also enjoyed the dress ups pod, the live frog display and touching various skins. Elly liked the library section!

  8. When we had enough of the play area we headed off to lunch at the museum’s cafe and afterwards the girls had a run around the foyer

  9. We looked at the skeletons, bugs and butterflies and ended the tour with the dinosaurs’ exhibition.

  10. Elly and Mum Lily meeting a new friend

  11. The last part of the tour the girls spent at the interactive display of dangerous animals in Australia, squealing in delight and screaming with fear as crocodiles, sharks and other creepy crawlies “attacked” them.

  12. Top left: peering into a wombat borrow Bottom left: live baby crocodiles on display In our next presentation: School Holidays, Part 7
