  2. Geometría Analítica Los puntos en la recta, pueden identificarse con números reales al asignarles coordenadas. De manera análoga, los puntos sobre un plano pueden identificarse mediante pares ordenados de números reales. En la siguiente gráfica, se muestra como se ubica un punto P, con coordenas (x,y), llamados (a,b).
