  2. Introduction • Hello boys, girls, Andrew. Today we will be talking to you about: • The seven years war!, • The two major participants of the seven years war • The other countries that were involved in this war • For extras we will tell about what the two countries would were during the war!!!!!!! Lets start with describing the two major participants of the war!!!

  3. Britain and France • France and Britain were natural enemies even before the 7 years of war, they fought in North America in 4 different wars. • It was not until the 7 years of war (1756-1763) that the issue of who instructed the continent was settled once and for all! • During that conflict, Great Britain finally made the accomplishment of New France a priority, and they also provided enough men and equipment for the job to be aimed. • With the help of the Royal Navy, New France was cut off from reinforcements at the same time, it allowed the British to work up the mandatory strength for the 13 colonies to destroy the French in North America. These are the British fighting.

  4. Britain and France again • Britain and France not only fought in North America but in India, Europe and on sea’s! • Given so many arenas (places to fight) each one with different impotence's it was mandatory that the nations had to choose priorities. • It was easy to set priorities in England because of two reasons 1:the status of the island(England) 2:the supreme owner of the Royal Navy

British clothing • Uniforms, arms and equipment: All European soldiers of that time fought in a knee length uniform coats, turned back at the skirt, cuffs and lapels to reveal a excellent linen colour • Headgear was a black “tricorne” hat with a lace, for the foot solders they wore a tall mitre cap. The uniform colour was usually red or black.

  6. French clothing • Near the time of the seven years war, the French would fight wearing: • A coat that is a color of grey and white that has no collar. • Blue cuffs, lined with a grey-white “woollen flannel” • A blue waist coat, breeches a color in between grey and white with pewter buttons and a “tricorne” ( hat) trimmed with cheap, silver lace

  7. Seven Years War • The seven years war was between France and Great Britain from 1756-1763. This was when Britain and France started to attack each other. • In 1756, April, new French crews and a different chief by the name of Marquis de Mont Calm came to Canada. • By the next month, the British said that there would be war. • The general of France at that time had a strategy to make the British fighters on defensive and keep them a far distance from Canadian agreements.

Seven Years War • The war was taken place all over the world but it started to get serious in north America, 1758. • During that year, the British seized Louisburg and demolished their castle. • In the spring of 1759, General James Wolfe lead on a mission to apprehend Quebec. • While 2 British troops went to Canada, 1 troop went to the city of Niagara, to capture it.

Seven years war • General James Wolfe sailed of, leaving Britain with a enormous amount of weapons that include: • 22 gunships, 27 frigates, 80 transport, 55 smaller ships, 9000 solders, 18 000 sailors, 2000 cannons and 40 000 cannon balls. • In June, a group of ships sailed one behind the other through the St.Lawernce river ( more than 150 kilometers long). • The group of ships stopped close to Ile d’orleans just across from Quebec.

Seven years war • General Wolfe was planning his route to attack Beauport shore. • In the month of July, Wolfe enforced 4 000 solders to invade the Beauport shore. • Marquis Louis-Joseph de Mont calm knew that Wolfe was going to send out solders to Beauport shore and put a strong defence team there. • 440 British solders were killed or injured by the French defenders.

  13. Peace • By the treaty of St.Petershurg in 1752, Russia made peace and made up to all the conquests. At the same time, Sweden made peace to! • The French had suffered severe back downs. • Peace was made in 1763 at Prussia, Austria and Saxony. This was signed at Huberusburg! • As for England, France and Spain, they signed the treaty of Paris at the time of 1763. • Together, the treaty of Hubertushurg and Paris terminated the 7 years war!!

  14. Important people during this war • 1. James Wolfe: Major British general who led the British tovictory in this battle. • 2. Louis Joseph de Montcalm: Took over as commander in chief of the French forces in the north America. He was feared and respected. This general lost his life at the battle of Quebec. • 3. Major General Edward Braddock: First general to arrive from Britain, he was killed in 1755 at the first battle for fort Duquesne. James Wolfe

FACTS • The Seven years war killed more people than the American revolution. • The French and Britain were fighting over which territory is theirs and also the wealth. • The Seven Years War was the very first global war ever! • The main countries involved in this war were Britain, Hanover and Prussia who were fighting France, Sweden, Austria, Russia, Saxony and later on, Spain v Think smart, don’t fight
