  1. 以大腸癌細胞的培養株免疫老鼠所得到的抗體叫做抗體 #19-9人的血清中跟這個抗體有所反應的抗原就是CA 19-9抗原。CA 19-9抗原也存於正常的外分泌腺(唾液腺，支氣管腺，膽管，胰管）中。在胰臟癌和膽道癌時會呈示高度的陽性率(80～90％)，而在大腸癌、胃癌、肺癌也會呈示陽性(30～60％)，有時候在良性疾病如：膽道結石、慢性肝炎、支氣管囊胞、糖尿病、子宮肌腫、良性卵巢瘤的時候也會上升。因此可以用做胰臟癌和膽道癌的篩檢工具，但是陽性並不一定表示有胰臟癌。CA19-9對於癌症的診斷，化學治療的監視與癌症手術後再發性的觀察都是很好的工具。CA 19-9尤其對胰臟癌有較高特異性，若是高於正常值(<37 U/mL)許多，應該要考慮到是否為罹患癌症的可能性，建議再深入檢查，以保健康。資料來源：http://www.tmn.idv.tw/tcfund/list_qa/list_qa_d7.htm
