1. Missing May Author: Cynthia Rylant The title of the story I read is called Missing May. The author is Cynthia Rylant, This book takes place in Fayette county. Fayette is a little town with few people. This book is mainly about a husband and a wife Ob and May. Ob and May took in this little girl in to there home because her mom died the little girls name is Summer. Summer is Mays niece . Summer thought she was in heaven when she got there because these people who she didn't know was so nice. Summer wasn't used to people being so nice. All her life she had to Clean. Well they were all just a happy family. Well one day May died. When she died Ob and Summer seen no reason in even living they didn't take it so good even though she was in a better place now Ob and Summer didn't see it like that they wanted to know why God had taken May? And why life was not fair? As the days went on and Ob and Summer were not speaking to each other until they became friends with this boy named Cletus he brought hope back into their life. He told them about this bat lady who talks to angels. So they all fount out where she lives to try to talk to May. When they got there they find out that the bat lady is dead. So they are all upset again especially Ob so they all start going back home but then… You have to read the story to tell what happens next. This book is a real good book it has a happy ending.
