Ephesians 4:20-24 What is the secret to a successful Christian life? 20 That, however, is not the way of life you learned 21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. 6 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

12. Eph 4:22,24 Put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; put on the new self, created to be like God YOU “#*!& makes me angry.” The situation does not make you angry, it just brings out the anger that is already in you.

15. Genesis 4:7 —If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? Rom. 15:7—Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. I John 1:7—But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
