  2. The Founder The founder is Saint Dominic It was founded in December 22, 1216 in France. The order was approved by Pope Honorius III.

  3. Beginning of Order In the beginning of the order it was called the Order of Preachers but was changed after the 15th centaury. There was three periods of the history of the Dominican are the middle ages, modern period, and contemporary period.

  4. Mission of Order The mission of the order is based upon they want justice in the world and they fight for the freedom of other people They look for active ways to communicate the words of God. They teach the non Christian people more about God

  5. Lifestyle The people of this order are very devoted to God and on their choice for their vocation. They spend most of their days in prayer and to spend time helping the community.

  6. Order Today They are still currently promoting the word of God. They take an active role in the religious community. Many of the active men in the Dominican order today are involved greatly in the church and around the community.
