  5. Placement Scheme • Graduate/undergraduates/IT related degree • 6 - 12 weeks in summer June- September • Tasks undertaken can include:- • Web sites / e-commerce • Databases • Networking • Software development

State of the Art Technologies the ICT Industry in Wales • Advanced Technology Transfer from the Department of Computer Science, UWS • Free consultancy for project design • Free access to state of the art equipment • Free development of prototypes by undergraduate and postgraduate project students

How have we helped the regional economy? • Organised 280 placements since 1993 • Increased the number of students staying in Wales after graduation • IT Club 300+ members events put on monthly - 40 to 50 attending each event • Launched an IT Magazine • Encouraged entrepreneurship in ICT companies
