  2. Lawn & Garden Ad season is here!What you need to do now to prepare: Pre-book Live Goods -If you haven’t ordered your live goods already, you need to do so! Non-Stock Items - Order any non stock items (Version B/C retailers) Dirt Cheap - Order Dirt from Rocky Mtn Soils for Dirt Cheap – deadline 3/16/12. Make other arrangements for event i.e.hire Boy Scoutsto load dirt, grill hot dogs, etc. Price File - Make sure you have the Macro file downloaded into your Activant system to import pricing for ads.

  3. RMAS Advertising Best Practices • Wait for modified sku list to be posted to The Retailer Hub (one week after PREP packet arrives), and then order Red Hot Buys and End caps on bulletin three months prior to the sale. Inventory and pricing is only guaranteed for ad items ordered on bulletin. • Three weeks prior to the sale, download MIP file from The Retailer Hub, run MIP and order remaining needed inventory from the RSC. Prices will not go live until ad start date. Please note non-stock skus and barcodes will need to be entered manually. They are on the “Invalid Sku List” supplied for each ad.

  4. RMAS Advertising Best Practices • Sign your store with end cap and Red Hot Buy signs from Ace sign kit. Use custom shelf talkers from Atlantic Press that come with store copy for all ad items. • Program coupons into Dynamic Promotions as soon as PDFs are loaded to the Retailer Hub, or you receive your store copy. See Dynamic Promotions tutorial on Retailer Hub for help. • After sale, run promotions history report to see how the ad performed. For tracking, please share sales info and let us know what sold well and what didn’t.

Reminder . . . 2012 Advertising Calendar Updates • 2/29 Leap Year Ace Rewards/Digital promo added to calendar • 4/17 Spring Spruce Up – will no longer be RMAS funded (previously print and distribution funded) • 6/5 Grill Your Ace Off – will be print funded only (previously print and distribution funded) • 7/28 Shopping Cart Sale – will be print and distribution funded (previously print funded only)

  6. Restaurant.com Cards Advertised in 4/17 and 4/24 ads Customers purchase either the 5M or 15M 4-step and automatically receive a $50 or $100 restaurant.com card. For more details on this promotion, visit Retailer Hub > RMAS Advertising > Print > April 2012. MLB Team Lawn Blanket Advertised in 5/1 and 5/15 ads Store will receive one blanket to use as sample on end cap. Customers purchase $50 worth of Scotts product (see exclusions), year subscription to MLB Insider Club and MLB Fan Guide. Cashier will give customer a mail-in submission form to fill out and send in.
