  4. Education • Was considered a prodigy at the age of 10 • In 1924 he was also accepted as a member of the Polish Academy of Learning. • His best known work is the first monograph on the general theory of linear-metric space.

  5. Hugo Steinhaus • Born January 14,1887 • Was a Polish mathematician and educator.

  7. Education • Studied philosophy and mathematicians at the University of Lwow. • He is credited with discovering mathematician Stefan Banach. • Hw was one of the early founders of the game theory and the probability theory.
