  2. ChichénItzá, Mexico: • The genius and adaptability of Mayan culture can be seen in the splendid ruins of Chichen Itza. This powerful city, a trading center for cloth, slaves, honey and salt, flourished from approximately 800 to 1200, and acted as the political and economic hub of the Mayan civilization. The most familiar ruin at the site is El Caracol, a sophisticated astronomical observatory. Machu Picchu, Peru: • Machu Picchu, an Incan city of sparkling granite precariously perched between 2 towering Andean peaks, is thought by scholars to have been a sacred archaeological center for the nearby Incan capital of Cusco. Built at the peak of the Incan Empire in the mid-1400s, this mountain citadel was later abandoned by the Incas.

"Christ the Redeemer" statue in Rio de Janeiro: • The statue is the symbol of Christianity and an icon of Rio and Brazil. • The design first selected was a globe in the hands of the Christ and a pedestal symbolizing the world but afterwards statue of Christ, the Redeemer with open arms was selected. The Colosseum, Rome, Italy • The elliptical building is immense, measuring 188m by 156m and reaching a height of more than 48 meter (159 ft). The Colosseum could accommodate some 55,000 spectators who could enter the building through no less than 80 entrances.Above the ground are four storeys, the upper storey contained seating for lower classes and women. • The lowest storey was preserved for prominent citizens. Below the ground were rooms with mechanical devices and cages containing wild animals. The cages could be hoisted, enabling the animals to appear in the middle of the arena.

  4. Petra, Jordan • The ancient city of Petra was literally carved from the sandstone cliffs of southern Jordan. There the Nabataeans built temples and tombs, houses and halls, altars and aqueducts. And they built a civilization that stood at the crossroads of the ancient Near East, a center for commerce as the spice routes and trading trails of the time all flowed through Petra • TajMahal, India • TajMahal Stone Carving • The central dome is fifty eight feet in diameter and rises to a height of 213 feet flanked to its sides by four subsidised domed chamber. The minarets, four in number are 162.5 feet each

It is often compared to a huge dragon winding up and down in the mountains, grassland and deserts.
