  1. World Nursery Rhyme Week During the week beginning 9th November the Early Years children participated in the above event.

  2. The children had great fun learning a different rhyme each day. Included were some that the children already knew and others that were new to them. Here are a couple of the rhymes that we learnt.

  3. At the end of the week we had a Dress Up Day. We would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ all of those parents who supported the children with this by thinking of some lovely ideas for Nursery Rhyme character costumes. Here are just a few photographs that we took on the day.

  5. Nursery Rhyme Quiz A quiz for the children and the grown-ups. Can you work out the answers? 1. According to the nursery rhyme, who was quite contrary? 2. In ‘Oranges and Lemons’, what do the bells of Shoreditch say? 6. What was the colour of the horse that rode to Banbury Cross? 7. Complete this part of the rhyme from ‘Miss Polly Had A Dolly’ “He knocked on the door with his ???” 8. What are the names of the two little Dickie Birds? 9. What colour is Bobby Shafto’s hair? 10. What did the crooked man buy with his crooked sixpence?
