SMART Boards • Classrooms have evolved since the chalkboard days where chalkboards were one of the main tools for teaching. • SMART Boards are interactive boards that are used today in many learning environments. • They provide teachers with a variety of tools to create a learning environment for kids that is both fun and efficient. • The cost of a SMART Board varies from how large the board is and how many features it includes, just like many electronics. The price range is from $500 to $7000.

  3. SMART Board Features You can say that a SMART Board is just a whiteboard but it is much more than that. It is an interactive board that comes with many features that make teaching easier for teachers. • It projects that is on your computer, it allows you to compile notes and save them for a specific class. • Students are also able to interact with the lesson and become hands on in a very easy way since it is a touchscreen. • You also are able to access multimedia to help students get engaged.   4. Flipped Learning • Watching pre-recorded online lectures as homework • Available on flash drive if no internet at home • “Homework” turns into “classwork” • More interaction with teacher for clarification • Time for in-class activities • Student chooses learning pace

  6. PowerPoint What is PowerPoint? • PowerPoint is a presentation software that is presentable on computers, laptops, and projectors • With its layout capability, it is also presentable in a printed format for a clean appearance

  7. PowerPoint What does it offer? • A well known product with a large array of features • Easy to use for all ranges of Microsoft user knowledge • Smooth professional appearance • Easily editable and is capable on the spot corrections

PowerPoint How is PowerPoint usable in the classroom? • The text is almost always easier to understand than hand writing • The size of projections are capable of adjusting to the size of a classroom, providing viewing for the entire class, from front to back • Slides may be made available to the students to allow for them to follow along
