  1. My Lord Jesus is ALWAYS with me

  2. Who am I? • I was the 4th King of Judah • I was 35 years old when I became king • I reigned for 25 years • My father was also king before me. • I tried to follow God’s commands. • God gave me many blessings • I always prayed and tried to seek God in every step I took. • Before I decided if I was going with King Ahab to fight a war, I wanted to seek God’s will first.

  3. At another time, war was rising against me from the people of Moab as well as the people of Ammon and Mount Seir. What did I do? I set myself to seek God, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. We cried out to Him saying ““For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You”

  4. A prophet from God came and told me that the Lord says “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s” • He told me that even though we were going to war, we would not have to fight, but that God will be with us and deliver us. • So we went in to war singing and praising God, saying “Praise the Lord for His mercy endures forever”

  5. So what happened? • God made the other nations start fighting against each other! • We went back to Jerusalem singing and praising God for He had fought for us and delivered us. • God gave us the victory!!

  6. So who am I?? Jehoshaphat King

  7. Memory verse activity 2 Chronicles 20:12

  8. “For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You” (2 Chronicles 20:12)

  9. What is this great multitude that is coming against us? • Daily problems we might face • Bullies at school • Persecutions against Christians • The devil • What else??

  10. What do we learn from this? • To seek God in every step of our life. • Pray before doing anything or making any decision, so that we may walk according to God’s will. • Trust in God fully !!

  11. So what do WE do?? Look unto God  PRAY!!!

  12. Can I pray anytime? • Can I pray while eating?! • Can I pray while walking!? • Can I pray while studying?!

  13. Prayer is… • Feeling God’s presence! • Lifting my heart up towards Him • The more I speak with God, the more I build a relationship with Him, the more I can become like Him. • Christ will abide in us and we will reflect His beauty to everyone around us. • When we do this, our friends at school will want to get to know God more. • People will see Christ in us. • We become true Children of God, a living Bible. • Everything I do will be prayer; walking, sitting, sleeping, going out and so on. • We can pray all the time. • Don’t forget that God is always with me. • When you do any of your daily tasks, do it with the spirit of prayer.

  14. Building a strong relationship with God

  15. This week… • Try to turn all my daily tasks into prayer! • How? • Before I do anything… • speak with God, • ask Him to be with me, • To bless what I’m doing, • To help me do it if it is according to His will, • And to bring glory to Him.
