  5. Place Value for 300 • There are 4 shelves. There are 10 books on each shelf. How many books are there in all? How many books will be left if you take 1 book off the top shelf? 300 40 books 40-1= 39 books if you take one off.

  13. Place Value for 100 • Rockelle has 23 Barbies. Danasia has more Barbies than Rockelle. About how many Barbies could Danasia have. 19,22, or 30? 100 30 It is the only number that is more or bigger than 23.
