  1. Have you ever thought: • That cultural diversity is considered part of biological diversity? • That the city you live in is also a complex ecosystem? • That biodiversity loss is really bad for global economy? • That natural disasters are not only happening because of climate change?

  2. You haven’t? Then maybe it’s about time you should find out. You have, and are aware of the problems? Then maybe it’s about time to do something about it.

  3. AEGEE Environmental Working Group invites you to join: What? European Day of Environment 2008 with focus on Biological Diversity When? April 21-26, 2008 Where? Who? all over AEGEE network. Maybe your antenna???

  4. Biological diversity – multiplicity of living organisms and relations between them • It’s not just something in far rainforest →cities absorb 75% of the world’s natural resources (including organisms) • It cannot be just left for „green” NGOs → species and ecosytems are closely linked with each other, supporting and providing us the resources we all use to survive

  5. Why do something? Because we all want to: • have clean water and healthy food • have pretty landscapes around our homes • be sure that we live in a safe environment

  6. What can you do? Get informed,raise awareness,change behaviours: → field trips, excursions → conferences, seminars → photo exhibitions → surveys, quizzes → thematic games, parties

  7.
