  8. ThanksUSA’s American History Treasure Hunt • The treasure hunt raises awareness, excitement and funds for the scholarship program in an educational, family-friendly way.

  9. Treasure Hunt: 2006 • Over 6,000 people registered to play • Nearly 1,000 answered at least one chapter • Nearly 500 answered the Grande Finale chapter

  13. Small Business Support • Adeler Jewelers in Great Falls, Virginia donated our grand prize – a real treasure chest filled with over $100,000 worth of jewels, gems and rare coins.   16. Endorsements I just discovered "Thanks USA" and wanted to pass along a word of thanks to the family, especially the two "brain blasters" who came up with the idea! I only wish I could portray exactly how actions such as this impact the military personnel and their families. Many times these days, gratitude such as this is not felt by the military community and the [tour of] duty begins to get quite difficult.   17. Endorsements I am a high school English teacher who is always encouraging my students to enter academic based contests. I promoted this project in my classes. Since it was open to adults, I took on the challenge as well. I loved doing the research and felt like a real champ as I discovered each answer.   18. Endorsements Thanks so much to all of you for a very fun treasure hunt! With puzzle clues in hand, I went to my neighbor to get a fresh set of eyes on chapter 5, and got her hooked too! We had a great time learning all the neat facts -- and finding out just how much we already knew!
