  4. Things you should know: about the module • Lectures: daily 9:00 – 12:00 Friday’s 9:00 – 10:00, maybe longer • Tutorials: daily 15:00 – 16:30 • All content will be covered in lectures. • Tutorials may be converted to lectures and vice versa Our lectures will not stick to a typical lecture format: • They will be interactive and most of the time, lectures will be very similar to seminars, tutorials and clinics.

  5. Module expectations • Lectures 13 hours * 4 weeks = 52 hours • Tutorials 6 hours * 4 weeks = 24 hours • Reading and thinking = 76 hours • Doing questions = 28 hours • Exam preparation = 20 hours • TOTAL = 200 hours • Once we reach exam time, it will be too late to start with reading and questions, so read now and ask now. • Ahead of the exam you should revise. There is a distinct difference between revision and learning!

  6. Lecture expectations • For the benefit of other students, the lecturer and those around you, you are expected to: • turn up on time & stay for the entire session • ask if you have to leave early and to leave quietly afterwards • ask any kind of question you have during the course of the lecture and to address those question to the lecturer or to all fellow classmates, as opposed to your neighbour(s) • be quiet, if whatever you have to say is neither a question or a remark of some merit. • turn off your mobile phone.
