  4. Possible Jobs • Herd Owner     • Herd Manager              • Herdsperson     • Calf Raiser       • Caring for Transition and Fresh Cows • Feeder              • Custom Heifer Raiser   • Hoof Trimmer • Dairy Nutritionist and Feed Sales        • Employee on Large Dairy

  5. Requirements for MSU • A high school diploma with at least a 2.0 or greater GPA is required. ACT or SAT are not required. Work in the dairy industry is recommended. • I already have worked in the dairy industry and I have many awards in it.

  6. Requirements for Wisconsin • The admissions committee reviews transcripts carefully, especially noting grades in economics, math and other related courses. Graduate level grades are given more notice than undergraduate grades. The department rarely considers for admission students with undergraduate GPAs below the university-mandated minimum of 3.0.

  7. Collage Goals • Win National Judging Competition • Maintain a 3.0 • Stay out of trouble • Complete all corses

  8. After Collage • I want to be a dairy farmer with a lot of crop acres • I would like to have 200-300 cows

  9. Why I Would Be Good • I have a good work ethic for things I want to do • Have a large background in dairy industry • Already skilled in many areas of dairy industry

  10. Volunteer Jobs • Worked at therapeutic horse farm • Youth ministry at church

  11. Pros • Get to be outside all day • Work with my hands • Drive tractors and trucks

  12. Cons • Work 24/7 • Not steady money • Hard work
