CAREER CHOICES IN AGRICULTURE IN INDIA DOLPHIN (PG) COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND AGRICULTURE INTRODUCTION Agricultural Science is one of the popular streams of science in which candidates are willing to make a career for them. 1.) AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERS Agricultural engineers not only design systems or machines but also make equipment to maintain agricultural processes and solve problems. To enhance farming operations, there are many principles applied such as the principle of mechanical, electrical, computer, and environmental engineering. To become a professional in this field, one must have completed a bachelor's or advanced degree in agricultural or biological engineering. 2.) AGRICULTURAL AND FOOD SCIENTISTS Another field of agriculture is to become an agricultural and food scientist. This course has many ways to improve the productivity, quality, and safety of the field crops and farm animals. To become a food scientist, all you need is to get a bachelor's degree in food and agricultural science. But some professionals go on to earn specialized advanced degrees in fields like toxicology and dietetics. 3.) HYDROLOGISTS The most initial operation to the agriculture field is Hydrologists i.e. to study the structure of water supplies. They help to evaluate and observe the impact of agriculture on water quality and research ways to minimize soil erosion and pollution. Hydrologists often complete a master’s degree in geoscience, engineering, or earth science, with a specialism in hydrology.
