    2. Merseytravel Rail Development The Merseyrail network provides a high quality mass transit system which provides a basis for: Improving accessibility within Merseyside Connecting Merseyside in to the wider region through the development of the railway beyond the existing boundaries

    3. Merseytravel Rail Development The current position 30m use the Northern/Wirral Lines 5.5m use the City Line 37 stations are fully accessible (out of 87) 51 stations have park and ride 15 stations have dedicated bus interchange

    6. Recent Achievements Refurbishment of Merseyrail Electrics Trains Upgrading 21 stations including: 12 - improved passenger facilities 10 - additional / upgraded car parks 6 - new/upgraded bus/rail interchanges 3 - fully accessible
