High End Applications of Aluminum Alloys Abstract: Different forms of aluminum alloys like painted aluminum coil, aluminum sheet and aluminum foil are widely used in building waterproofing, boat building, medicine packaging,fuel tank manufacturing. White Aluminum Flashing Roll The white aluminum flashing roll is mainly used in building walls, roofs, tunnels, roads, landfills, etc., to resist external rainwater and groundwater leakage. Flexibility Its flexibility refers to the performance of maintaining flexibility under low temperature conditions. It is very important to ensure easy construction and no brittle fracture. The commonly used indicators are flexibility and low temperature bendability. 5. Atmospheric stability Atmospheric stability refers to the ability to resist erosion under the long-term comprehensive action of factors such as sunlight, heat, ozone and other chemically erosive media. The commonly used indicators are aging resistance and heat aging retention rate. At present, the amount of prepainted aluminum coils in my country is increasing year by year. It has the characteristics of low density, long service life, beautiful and smooth appearance. Haomei Aluminum has rich colors, especially white aluminum coil. In order to make good use of color-coated aluminum coils and prolong its service life, there are certain requirements for the storage environment of aluminum flashing roll stock. First of all, make sure that the storage environment must be ventilated and dry. Aluminum coil is a non-ferrous metal alloy. If it is in contact with water, it will undergo oxidation reaction, which will damage the protective film on the surface and affect its quality. The second is the tightness of the packaging. Generally, aluminum coils will be packaged in waterproof packaging with moisture-proof agents when they leave the factory. The packaging is suitable for long-term storage.

Marine Aluminum Sheet for Boat Building Due to the low density of aluminum alloys, about 1/3 of steel, strong corrosion resistance to seawater and good processing and forming properties and weldability, aluminum alloys are not only used in aircraft manufacturing,electronic accessories, machinery manufacturing, communication equipment, electronic product processing, but also in shipbuilding. Aluminum sheet for boat building needs to undergo hot and cold processing and welding during processing, and ships will be impacted by waves and corroded by seawater, sea mud, and marine atmosphere during use. Therefore, marine aluminum sheets are required to have high comprehensive performance, including good plasticity and weldability, high stiffness, strength, good plasticity and impact toughness, and good corrosion resistance. General marine grade aluminum alloy refers to 5xxx Al-Mg aluminum alloy. At present, the aluminum alloys used in ship hull structures are mainly 5083, 5086, and 5456. Ocean yachts need to use 5083 aluminum plates, inland rivers use 5456 aluminum plates, and domestic park boats generally use 5052 marine grade aluminium. These three alloys have relatively superior mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and welding properties. The Al-Mg alloy is a non-heat treatment strengthening alloy in which Mg is added alone or both Mg and Mn are added to aluminum. Alloys such as A5052 and A5083 containing 2.5% to 5% Mg can have a tensile strength of 196 to 294 MPa depending on the Mg content. 5052 aluminum plate is an Al-Mg alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and medium strength.

In addition to being used for ship plates, 5052 aluminum plates can also be used for cable trays on ships, ship sink, ship floor and other parts. 5052 aluminum thickness depends on the applied part. Aluminum PTP Blister Foil The application of aluminum foil in pharmaceutical packaging includes aluminum-plastic blister packaging (PTP), strip packaging, aluminum-plastic combined bottle caps, aluminum-plastic sealing gaskets and double aluminum packaging, of which aluminum-plastic blister packaging is its main application, with moisture-proof, hygienic , safety, convenience and other advantages, thus becoming a new type of pharmaceutical packaging widely used in the world. PTP blister foil is non-toxic, odorless and of light weight, excellent shading properties, high moisture resistance and barrier properties. PTP pharmaceutical aluminum foil base material can be divided into hard aluminum foil and soft aluminum foil. The former is mostly used for blister packaging of tablets and capsules, while the latter is generally used for outer packaging of powder and granules.

  5. It takes very little stretch to break hard aluminum foil, so the patients can get the medicine more easily. On the other hand, if soft aluminum foil is used, more force must be applied to reach the drug because of the higher stretching force of the film. Therefore, blister packs with a covering foil made of soft aluminum are considered to be more resistant to ingestion by children. The common alloys of aluminium blister foil are 8011, 8021 and 8079 aluminum foil. The thickness is 0.02-0.08mm. In addition to the traditional aluminum foil (PTP) for blister packaging, aluminum foil is also compounded with various plastic and paper materials as pharmaceutical packaging materials, such as cold stamping aluminum foil and tropical blister packaging aluminum foil. As one of the aluminium blister foil manufacturers in China, we have a mature manufacturing process. The process flow is: billet inspection→rolling→coiling→rolling→slitting→inspection, packaging and storage. The distribution of rolling passes is 0. 3 mm (H14) → 0. 145 mm → 0.1072 mm → 0. 032 mm → 2 × 0. 02 mm (H18). If you want to look for 5754 aluminum equivalent, 5052 aluminum is a choice. The 5052 aluminum plate and the 5754 aluminum plate both belong to the 5000 series aluminum-magnesium alloy, with medium strength and superior comprehensive performance. So what are the differences between them? Different chemical composition The magnesium content of 5754 aluminum plate is higher than that of 5052, so the machinability is better. The silicon content of 5754 aluminum plate is also more than that of 5052. The silicon content affects the forging function and corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy, so 5754 aluminum plate has better forging performance and corrosion resistance.

  7. Different hardness Since the magnesium alloy content of 5052 aluminum plate is lower than that of 5754 aluminum, there is a certain difference in hardness between the two. Usually, the the Webster hardness of 5052 aluminum plate is around 8-12 degrees, and the hardness of 5754 aluminum plate is around 12-14 degrees. Different applications 5052 aluminum plate has good formability, corrosion resistance, weldability, and medium strength. It is used to manufacture aircraft fuel tanks, oil pipes, and sheet metal parts for transportation vehicles and ships, instruments, street lamp brackets and rivets, hardware products, and electrical appliance shell,etc. 5754 aluminum plate is widely used in welded structures, storage tanks, pressure vessels, ship structures and offshore facilities, transportation tanks, and for applications requiring excellent processing performance, excellent corrosion resistance, high fatigue strength, high weldability and medium static strength. Different prices Generally, the price of en aw 5754 under the same specification in the market is 2000 RMB per ton higher than that of 5052 aluminum plate.
