Abstract: Exploration of FSOC, Millimeter Wave and Terahertz frequencies for backhaul and access applications in emerging extreme broadband nano-cell, pico-cell and ultimately femto-cell Personal Area Networks and the impact of shrinking cell size on mobility, handoffs, routing and critical inter-cell and network backhaul technologies.

Purpose: Review of concepts for emerging technologies, applications and future standards consideration.
