Other information to consider
Other information to consider…

  • During 8th Block students will have the opportunity to take seminar, music, art, foreign languages, physical education, health and other courses not offered at LTA

  • There is still a 7 credit cap limit on the number of credits a student can take per school year.

  • Summer school is NOT included in the 7 credit cap limit

  • eSchool courses taken during the school year are counted as part of the credit limit

  • Students at the other high schools must take a seminar or release within their schedule

  • With LakeView’snew time schedule, the seminar/release block will be used for AAA and travel time to boundary schools

Other information to consider1
Other information to consider…

  • Some of our classes will be single block (all year for 48 minutes) and others will be double block (half year for 96 minutes)

  • Most likely students will have 5 or 6 different classes each semester, not 8

  • Students will need to pre-register for their eSchool courses for the 2012-13 school year. The form is on their website.

  • Students with early release (grades 11 & 12) will be allowed to leave at 1:10 unless they are required to attend AAA.

  • Students in grades 9 & 10 who do not select a course for their 8th block will be assigned a seminar at their boundary school.
