  1. Every Pet Owner Wants To Know Their Animals Are Safe At All Times Pets are important family members, and for many, they deserve a special place in the home. Just as people love their kids, their pets become part of their lives, whether it is a small lap dog that only serves to be a great companion, or a bigger animal that is kept for other purposes, such as to provide early warning in case of problems at your house, or because they are trained to provide protection. The reason we keep pets may differ from person to person, but all will agree: we love them, we cherish them and we want what is best for them. Therefore we provide food, water, and shelter, and we want to know that at all times they are safe from harm and that we do our best to be sure they do not disappear or get injured. With a small lap dog, it is often easier as they never really move far away from us, or we make sure we keep our eyes on them all the time, even when we take them for a walk in the park. It becomes more difficult with bigger pets that are, by their very nature, more adventurous and may take to wandering more easily. This is why many owners make sure they have systems in place at home so these animals do not escape, whether that is a wall around the garden, or a fence, or one of the latest, advanced systems that keep animals in. The same applies to, say, hunting dogs. These animals are normally bred to be adventurous, to move fast, and to give chase after birds during upland bird hunting and several wing-shooting disciplines. They are bred to spot and fetch, which can lead to their leaving the immediate area where their master or handler is moving in the bush or out in the open. The same applies to other working dogs such as those that are used during K-9 operations, or for security purposes, or even during wartime and similar situations. Certain breeds are trained to behave as working dogs, and they understand, after proper training and under specific circumstances, what their handler expects of them, which is very often to give chase. This, it should be easy to understand, can cause the owner or handler some anxious moments, since it means the animal may disappear, and harm may come to it. Therefore, whether you are out there hunting, or whether you are a member of a military or follow-up operation, you must remain in control to ensure your animal is safe. To this end, many owners and handlers make sure they use advanced leashes and collars so they know where their animals are.

  2. Among these, the latest ones are designed in such a way that they allow users to remain in contact with their animals, despite the fact they may have been separated. This is achieved by employing GPS functions that are built into the animal’s collar: with the use of a remote system, the handler/owner will know exactly where the dog is, taking unnecessary stress off their shoulders as they will know where, and how, the dog is, so they can be easily reunited. Some of these systems offer the truly advanced capability for owners and handlers and their animals, making control and knowledge about the dog’s whereabouts so much clearer for all – and ensuring that unnecessary stress is no longer an issue. As the market develops, and knowledge of systems improve customers are offered more and better systems all the time. A great incentive to make sure you know your pets are always safe.
