  5. Facts about Chlorine • Chlorine come from the Greek word chloros. (Which means greenish-yellow.) • In very high concentration it’s quite toxic and was used in World War I as a poison gas. • Pretty small amounts of chlorine can be produced in the lab by oxidizing HCl with MnO2.
