  5. Stimulants • Stimulants- increase energy and alertness • Other Examples: Cocaine (depression and cardiovascular stress), Caffeine, and Amphetamines, Ecstasy (dehydration and depression, cognitive functioning) • -cause increase in confidence and energy

  6. Hallucinogens • Hallucinogens- causes hallucinations and distorts perception. • Example: Marijuana, LSD
