  4. Parking Information Allentown Parking Authority has provided free parking for the India Day Parade event. Please use Allentown Transportation Center at the corner of 6th and Linden (110 N. 6th Street). The entrance is on6th Street. This is the new parking deck diagonally across from The Morning Call. When you enter, you will need to take a ticket to open the gate. Park anywhere. On your way out, the exit gate will be open. The exit is on Linden Street. You do not need to pay, just drive out and make a right.To go to Allentown City Hall, continue on Linden St towards N. 4th St. Make a right on N. Penn St.To go to Arts Park, continue on Linden St towards N. 5th St. Make a right on N 5th St.

  6. Parade Lineup: Key Points & Timeslots • You must check-in at 11:00am. If your group is not ready to go when it is your turn to march you will not be able to perform in the parade. • 11:00am: All participants gather at designated starting point on Court St./City Hall, Odd Number groups will line up on Court Street. Even number groups will line up in front of City Hall. Group leader will have number sign and placard • Please note: The Groups numbers will be allocated by Kerry Sethi.

Parade Lineup: Timeslots 12:25pm: Opening of parade with breaking of coconut and tika conducted by Neha Laud and Kerry Sethi 12:30pm: Parade begins 12:45pm: Parade stop #1 between Chew and Turner 12:47pm: Performances (Please note this performance is repeated in stop #2, Stop#3) 12:52pm: Parade restarts 1:10pm: Parade stop #2 in front of the Garden Grill 1:12pm: Performances (Please note this performance is repeated in Stop#3) 1:19pm: Parade restarts 1:36pm: Parade stop #3 stop at Sacred Heart at Turner 1:38pm:Performances 1:45pm: Parade restarts 1:55pm: Parade ends at Arts Park 2:00pm: Stage show starts

Parade Ending Protocol • Once the Parade reaches the destination; the participants (for Cultural show) can proceed slowly and accumulate near the grass area (center of arts park). • The volunteers (Kerry Sethi, Nitin Laud & Anand Chavan at start of Parade) on both sides of parade will direct the parade participants to arts park. • If you are holding flag of India or USA, do not place it on ground. Contact Parade volunteer for directions on how to hand it over.

Safety Points • Carry a bottle of water • Carry cash to buy Food • Help out children and Seniors • Emergencies contact: 911, inform comittee • Try to spread out along the Parade route. • Porta-Johns provided for Restrooms (behind the stage at intersection of Penn & Court) • Lost – N – Found forms at IDP stall

  14. Safety Points • 1st aid kit : Contact Parade Volunteers • For disposal of Trash : Use appropriate bins (there will be recycle bins too) • There will be bins to collect any unwanted Flags.(You are free to keep them as souvenirs)
