  2. Neoplastic transformation of the ventricular system lining • 2 to 9% of all intracranial tumors • 12% of pediatric brain tumors • At least half presents in the first two decades of life • 70% occur infratentorially, usually from the fourth ventricle

  3. Clinical presentation • Lateral ventricles • Cognitive impairment associated with hydrocephalus • Supratentorial • ↑ intracranial pressure, headache, nausea, vomiting, and bilateral papilledema • Infratententorial • nausea, vomiting, ataxia and nystagmus.

  4. Imaging • CT scan: low density mass often with hydrocephalus • MRI: heterogenous, hyperintense with T2-weighted sequences
