Mid-South Chapter Goals • Provide education and networking through F2F and virtual venues • Host Monthly Chapter Meetings (10 meetings/yr) • Conduct one meeting/quarter outside of HSV • Conduct Monthly Officers Meeting • Government and Commercial focus • Grow Membership • 2013: From 18 to 36 • 2014: From 36 to 72 • 2015: From 72 to 144 • Grow Corporate Sponsorships • 2013: From 0 to 5 • 2014: From 5 to 10 • 2015: From 10 to 15 • Establish partnerships with Universities & Associations • e.g., UAH, FIT, Vanderbilt, PMI, NCA • Create, maintain, and grow a professional Chapter Website • Broaden awareness of APMP by issuing at least one Press Release per quarter

  7. Treasurer – Tonya Maurice • Developed and sent out first draft of budget • Created, published and monitoring online registration for March meeting. • Reconciled January bank statement. Next Steps : • Incorporate inputs and complete 2014 Budget. • Update online registration with April meeting details immediately following March meeting.

(LinkedIn Picture Used) • Meeting and Speaker information updated • New Career information posted (current WFH opening I have) • New Pictures added, Facebook link, and more! Website Statistics for Month of January – Stayed about the Same: • 108 Website Visits Over the Past Month (107 visits the previous month) • Of those visits, 67 were “unique” visitors (visitors that did not go back to the site later) which was 66 last time

  15. Marketing Goals 2014 • Increase Mid-South APMP chapter awareness • Create a strong social media presence • Have Mid-South APMP member presence at major conferences (Huntsville, Nashville, & Birmingham) • Increase Corporate Sponsorships • Elect a Birmingham Marketing Chair

Budget(Continued) • Pop-Up Stand- $280 • This will house chapter information • Generic information that will allow us to utilize the pop-up for multiple occasions • A 33”x80” pop-up is 250 on postupstand.com • Advertisements- $768 • $768= this allows up 6 1/8 page black and white advertisements within the Redstone Rocket • We can allocate these funds to different magazines such as periodicals in Birmingham and Nashville • We can also use this area in the budget to sponsor local industry events • Marketing Material- $450 • Brochures, Pens, and etc. • Handouts for local events/conferences • Design a booth sign and or plaque for corporate sponsors

Increase Market Awareness • Advertising • Redstone Rocket: Advertise Huntsville Meetings • Nashville Advertisements • Event Promotions • Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Mail Chimp invites • Quora • Press Releases • We should release press releases once a month, highlighting chapter growth and accomplishments • Create a need for APMP Prospects: Why join APMP? What is in it for me?

Social Media Marketing • Use Facebook, LinkedIn, Quora & Twitter to invite friends and followers • Continue tweeting about local events • Invoke discussions concerning proposals thru tweets and LinkedIn discussions • Creating brand awareness through discussion • Utilize QR codes on all marketing material to allow quick access to websites and social media • Promote press releases and updates to the websites weekly • Blogs: Great way to publish articles in multiple online communities • We could also publish these articles in the Redstone Rocket or other forms of publications

Advertisements • Periodical Advertisements • Redstone Rocket- Huntsville, AL • Approx. 30,000 readers in the DoD and government industries • Research periodicals in Nashville and Birmingham markets that reach commercial/government business development groups • Talk to Redstone Rocket about us publishing articles in various issues • Ability to plug APMP and our chapter into the publication • AL.com • Inexpensive ways to publish press releases • Kickstart • Use this capability more • Great to announce upcoming meetings, events and press releases

Memberships • Create a need to belong to APMP Mid-South • Emphasize the reasons to join • Networking is great, but show how APMP can increase your knowledge while allowing you to build strong proposal management skills • Create incentives for members to bring non-members to meetings • Ex: Bring a friend and receive $5 off of your next chapter meeting • Have book or gift certificate drawings for new members

Sponsorships • Corporate Sponsorships • Why should companies sponsor APMP Mid-South? • What is in it for them? • “APMP is the Association of record for proposal, bid, capture, business development, and graphics professionals throughout the world in both the Federal and Commercial markets. Our APMP Mid-South Chapter Corporate Sponsors are an integral part of our global community of proposal professionals allowing them to meet, learn, and collaborate with others. Everything at APMP is geared to helping our sponsors increase business by winning more proposals. When a company sponsors our Mid-South Chapter, they receive access to best practice information, our qualified talent pool in the industry through our local Job Bank, and recognition on our website and promotional materials.” • Broadcast the advantages of sponsoring APMP Mid-South • Great deal- only $250 • Run one ad dedicated to sponsorships • Advertise for our sponsors more- this will encourage other companies to sponsor us! • Event Sponsorships • Ex: AUSA and AAAA local chapter events • Purchase a small table or a small amount of seats during industry dinners/breakfasts • Establish an APMP Mid-South presence

  23. Event Marketing • Each year Huntsville hosts many events tailored to APMP prospects • We should be passing out material and marketing our chapter at all of these events • Allocate 2 team members to “walk” these events and handout brochures
