Eng TLSC, TQEF & MLSC • The Faculty of Engineering Teaching and Learning Support • Centre (Eng TLSC) offers support to staff, who wish to integrate innovative learning technologies into the curriculum. • The Teaching Quality Enhancement Fund (TQEF) demonstrates a commitment to the enhancement, embedding and dissemination of good practice in C&IT to support learning and teaching as part of HEFCE funding. • The Mathematics Learning Support Centre (MLSC) provides a range of services designed to support any undergraduate student in the university in their learning of mathematics

  5. Six main areas: • Number • Notation, symbols and algebra • Linear relationships • Common functions • Mathematics of finance • Statistics • Within each area there is a variety of topics. • Each topic is a self-contained interactive on-line document.

  6. Interactive on-line Maths Foundations • Key mathematical concepts • Worked examples • Problems, with • worked solutions • Graded quizzes

  7. An on-line document called ‘Getting Started’ provides tips as well as technical help. • Colour is used consistently throughout: • Greentext: An internal jump within the document • Browntext: An external jump to another document or web site • Red text: Guidelines for using the Exercises and Quizzes
