  2. Systéme Ouvert Formation, Innovative et Accessible A collaborative project between Iceland, Spain and France on creating a virtual classroom. A method of integrating greater efficiency of the Learning Management System and meeting the student at his/her level. An attempt to change the economics of creating learning content.

  3. Systéme Ouvert Formation, Innovative Accessible The partners: IDAN vocational center proj. coordinator CNA CEFAG (Secondary vocational graphic media school) Borgarholtsskóli (Secondary school Iceland) Tækniskólinn (Vocational college Iceland) Flensborg (Secondary school Iceland) Istituto Tecnologica de Aragon (Adult educational centre of Aragon)

  4. Systéme Ouvert, Formation, Innovative Accessible An open system (GANESHA) developed by CNA CEFAG Paris. Enables the teacher to exercise controls over a greater number of students with less effort. Develops an innovative approach to creating learning content in visual media. Learning content developed to produce skills as learning outcomes. Content developed as Grains, Chapters, Sequences, Levels/Modules. The aim is that the teacher can manage the learning of a greater number of individuals without increasing the effort involved.

  5. Systéme Ouvert Formation, Innovative Accessible The content developed as a video computer game. Based on the smallest unit of learning (Grain) Finish a grain (or several grains), display your skills with an exam/test. Continue on to next chapter. Graphic media well suited as content, as graphic media is real skills on screen.

  6. Systéme Ouvert Formation, Innovative Accessible A new approach to the creation of content. A learning content creation team consists of A script writer What happens in the lessons? A storyboard designer How is it broken down into images? A pedagogic expert How is the learning experience integrated A web tutor Making it function online A graphic expert Making it look good A teacher Running the show Hyphenating roles is common during the first phases.

  7. The target groups Young people at risk of dropping out of school Students with impaired access to study Adult learners in need of fragmented learning

  8. young persons at risk of dropping out of school A widespread European problem. Getting young persons involved in the learning process/content a challenge Using graphic environment and learning modes common/known to young learners conducive to involving them in the process. A student who finishes a single module with success is likely to continue.

  9. persons with impaired access to study? A change in the economics of creating the content, means that the material can be personalised to suit the individual without raising the costs. More diverse content, more widely available means more schools and more students are able to participate in e-learning solutions.

  10. Why does this matter for adult learners? Adult learners may refrain from attending formal classes as they entail chapters or sequences of study, that the learner already has acquired, before going into what exactly is needed. The old economics of creating content meant that it was impossible to ,,break" a module into a coherent string of sequences. This approach makes it possible.
