  2. Señora Crognale • 16th year teaching Spanish • Grew up Speaking Spanish. Mom was from Cuba • Mom was a Spanish teacher too! • My Cuban grandparents are/were a very BIG part of my life • Traveled to Spain, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and last summer…CUBA!!!

  3. Course Objectives • To foster a love for Spanish culture and language • Prepare students for Spanish II, either regular or honors • Finish 3 units (each unit has 2 chapters) • Have fun!!!!

  4. Grading • 20% Homework (not too much in the beginning, but should expect something every weeknight (no weekends)..\Spanish stamp and grade sheet.doc • 25% tests/projects (usually 1 per mp) • 35% quizzes (given each Friday) • 20% class participation & preparation • http://www.transparent.com/word-of-the-day/today/spanish.html?utm_media=email • Sign up for the Spanish word of the day. I accept 5 words per test/quiz for extra credit. It is the student’s responsibility to make up work!!

  7. What can you expect from me? • I will prepare materials and activities for class to generate enthusiasm for learning. • Develop a relationship with your child. I’m a mommy too, so I know they are your whole world • I will be fair • E-mail me!!!!
