  4. How Warner bothers used social media to market Wonder woman A lot of the Wonder Woman marketing was through social media however not through advertisements. What the did was they got big name film critiques and people related to the film to post about it on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. They also used product placement to spread the word about the film

Twitter • Wonder woman on their official twitter page released several poster advertising the new film and where and when you could watch it with a live red-carpet video being streamed on Facebook live • Twitter is a useful tool for things like promoting movies as you can very easily retweet things so even though they have only had 1.6k likes it has been retweeted 440 times so 440 times that many people have seen this poster.

  6. Facebook • Warner bros have used Influencers like entertainment weekly to share their content to get in front of as many people as possible. Most of the pages that have promoted it have a large following.

What the critiques had to say • Generally this film went down well however some people didn’t like the idea of a woman being the the main character in a film and then not having enough of her breasts on show. • Most people thought that it was inspiring as it was the first ever wonder woman film and people were so excited about it the released another on coming out in 2020.

  9. Blogs Shortly before the film was released a lot of blogs about womens rights were posting about the film. Also Many mainstream film blogs were writing their part. Eg rotten tomatoes

  11. Posters used Many different posters were used for wonder woman and they varied for each country. The English ones are on either side and the 2 from America are in the middle. Different posters were used to give off different feels to the film

  12. Billboard Advertisements During the advertisement stage many billboards were seen all across America. Particularly in Hollywood and In movie theaters across the country. These were used to catch potential viewers attentions and make them want to buy a ticket when the film releases. A common trait of a billboard is to have a catchy picture (normally colorful and bright) and have key information like the date.

  14. Wonder woman action figures • A lot of the merchandise products are action figures. This is because most of the people who watch it and then buy merch are children or collectors. The reason for using toys is because most young people like to play with toys and action figure therefore, they will sell more

  15. Why use merchandise • The main reason for using merchandise is because of the money that you can make off of it. In the opening weekend there were reports of 500 million dollars profit being made from just one film. • Another reason is because when you go round someones house for a cup of tea and you have it from a wonder woman mug you then might want to go and watch it if you have never seen the film before.
